The Hundred Club of Cook County is a charitable organization that gives immediate aid to the families of officers killed in the line of duty. Law enforcement members were prohibited from becoming members until legislation was introduced to allow membership.

What is this all about? The PD is refusing to comment. On Channel 5 news:
CHICAGO -- Two people are dead where a Chicago police officer was apparently injured on the scene of a homicide early Saturday.
Two people were shot and found dead on S. Princeton Ave. at 3 a.m., according to police News Affairs Officer Marcel Bright.
At some point a Gresham district police officer was injured on the scene, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said. The officer was in good condition.
Greer could not comment on how the officer was injured or if the homicide was related to the officer’s injury. The officer was not the homicide victim.
Two people are dead from a shooting this morning near South Princeton Avenue, according to a spokesperson for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. The spokesperson said they were shot in the areas of West 88th Street and South Yale Avenue. The identities of the victims were withheld pending family notification as of 10 a.m.
The South Princeton Avenue address is very close to 88th and Yale, Bright said.
It is unknown if or how an officer was involved in the incident Saturday morning, Bright said.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating the homicides.
The officer was in a foot pursuit of a possible offender from the shooting............he is in good condition with multiple stitches
