If you think Chicago's Olympic push is about sports, you're mistaken. Sports has nothing to do with this. It's like in the old movie, with Michael Corleone telling truths to his future wife, saying, "Now who's being naive, Kay?"

The Olympics is a done deal. This President is not some jamoke or an idiot. The President will not go to Copenhagen if its not a done deal. Its good for the city and the country! Chicago will finally shed its stinking lunch pail stockyard etnhic gangster image for a more refined, elegant, global destination persona. I'm tired of traveling and the only thing people know about Chicago is Al Capone and Michael Jordan. So stop your damn muttering and concentrate on supervising and directing the troops on the street. Like me you are paid to supervise not lead or think. Our job is to supervise well enough so we can leave the bosses enough space to think and develop long term strategies and concepts. If you guys had attended the National Academy and the Northwestern University Traffic Institute Short Course like I did then you would know your place in the organization and act accordingly. The worst thing there is in law enforcement is a disloyal supervisor. If you don't want top be loyal supervisors take off your stripes and go back to the first watch as an FTO. When I was on a Task Force the feds would transfer a supervisor to New York or Miami in a heartbeat if he was'nt deemed a team player. THATS RIGHT I SAID IT ALL

Oh yes darling, I just love the image of a refined, elegant Chgo. They will only use 2x4's that are painted with their gang colors from now on when they murder!! Oh yeah the bosses need space to think, thats the problem. Thats all they have, put a sigh on their forehead "VACANCY." I don't know how, but my betting brain tells me we are not going to host 2016.
