Give the City time to come up with another plan to steal time and money from us. Any plan, whether for medical or retirement, that the City proposes cannot be be good for us, it can only benefit the City.

anyone hear anything about the city making us work for a day for free???? We have to give up 1 day??? since the city is in financial trouble.

I'll take a day off without pay. But I'm not coming in on that day.

VEBA in theory sounds like a great idea. I think it needs to be made voluntary to be fair to all. Hopefully, we will see an amended version with this and other changes in the near future.

OT - Has anyone attended the performance evaluation training yet? I need to go when I get back from furlough. Just curious.

A nice day out of the District. The program looks like it will be a pain in the balls for the Sgts, but you can document the hell out of a good worker or a dog.

Please, it was a waste of time. An hour on the computer was all it would take to be up to speed on this 'work in progress' program.

It's the same old efficiency card, with a computerized twist. Now, we get to document incidences of good and bad behavior and it really does stay on someone's permanent record forever.

Oh, and by the way, your superior officer can direct you to make entries of their choosing. As I said, same old, same old. SO glad I'm retiring in a minute or two.

On the bright side, you get to see a bunch of people you haven't seen in years, the presentation is good and it's a day 'off', of sorts.

Please keep in mind that this is an open blog
that can and is read by people other than Chicago Police Officers.
