1 DEC NEWS RELEASE FROM CPSA

01 December 2009

We are currently in the process of selecting a location for our special membership meeting on December 17th. We will post the location as soon as we have confirmed a location.

Soon we will have a "member only" section on our website which will include a forum which will be available to active sergeants; this site will also be available to retirees in the future. The "members only" section will be an area where information can be posted by the board to keep the members informed without airing our laundry to the general public. There will also be a forum for members to discuss "hot" topics or any other topics without using the Department E-mail system. We expect to have this available within the next few days.

We are cooperating fully with the ASA's Office and we will post additional information in the "members only" section of our website as information is provided to us. Thank you for being patient as we are aggressively working to gather accurate information regarding the incident which occurred on 20 November 2009.

Robert Kirchner
President

I applaud the CPSA for creating a members only link at the CPSA website. Neither this site nor the department email is an appropriate forum for discussing delicate union business. I will continue to highlight important dates and upcoming meetings concerning union business.

I was at the Nov. PBPA meeting; John was cool as a cucumber as he told Sgt. Tom West not to worry. My concern is with the board member that was feverishly picking at his face when John said our finances were in fine order.

Hilarious! A few years ago-I won't mention the officer by name but when he was a ppo, an A3 detective had screwed up his case so felony charges were not approved. I was pretty annoyed so I was asking him if he remembered the guys name. The det had never told him the det's name but when I asked him to describe him- the recruit paused a minute and said "I don't really know how to describe him but I do think he's the last living member
of "member's only".

Funny thing was, after I stopped laughing, I knew exactly
who it was!

meeting will be held at De LaSalle to accomodate ALL the sergeants I expect will show up.

This were to vent your frustrations and receive answers to your questions. Stay the out of the Dept.'s web mail. This is our business.

Outstanding job by the CPSA. I'm glad the CPSA is moving forward and taking steps to become a stronger and sounder advocacy organization for supervisors. I will certainly attend the next meeting and speak out. Hopefully the department will start getting tougher and require polygraphy testing for promotions and maybe a financial background investigation as well.

I love the department and the job and I know as supervisors we perform an unheralded but heroic public service. As a result I will always make sure that as a courtesy I notify the watch commander and I will always have a watch, paper, and pen during an HBT incident. I will also strive to live the values of a proud professional and august Chicago Police Sergeant. Because, without us the troops would run around babbling in circles and the bosses would be blind and looking for freebies. The sergeants are the solid as oak backbone of the noble and sagacious order led by Jody Weis which is feared by the criminal element and known by all as the Chicago Police Deparment. With unabashed emotion I declare that I love the CPD and I hope that our department will reclaim its past glory and pride. I look forward to the day when I can sew my fathers TF patch on my Jacket and ride into battle like a Cossack.

I wonder if John P. would accept an invitation to meet me somewhere on the westside to discuss his antics. I would like to teach him some respect and decorum.

Great a members only section. Well being on disability the only time I hear from the PBPA and the Sgt's Association is when they mail me raffle tickets to sell for the golf outing so I'm sure this members only will never get to the disabled or retired. As far as Kuzas being his lawyer old J.P. is lucky that goof Reimer isn't representing him.

So I've taken the time to go over your posts of the last year. All you do is regurgitate shit from other sites, be it SCC or CPSA. Do you paper-jump this bad at work? You write yourself up for honorables, don't you? Keep it up Sarge.

The printer had to make last minute changes to take J.P. and M.O. off the book.

You will STILL receive it just after Christmas like you do every year . . . bitch.

By the way, come to at least 3 MEETINGS a fuckin' year so you will be eligible to run for a board position.

Um...No. No names are on the book. It's for Captains, Lieutenants and Sergeants. No groups officers are listed. Last years didn't have name either. Nice try though.

I know  this wouldn't be a normal thing for your blog, but considering your audience (I think your readers would love this show) - but would you consider a TV review?
I'd love to mail you a screener for the new season of Southland on TNT for possible review? Let me know! - agianni@youcastcorp.com

Please keep in mind that this is an open blog
that can and is read by people other than Chicago Police Officers.
