The death of all those Oakland Police Officers is on the shoulders of that Mayor and the Media--Its happening in Chicago also--the media, certain politicians, and community activists are constantly enraging people against the police---So, everyone wants to fight us. Its time to fight back with lawsuits!! They must be accountable for their actions!! Look at the SOS scandal! enough is enough--how many more dead officers do we have too see before someone wakes up and realizes that these groups are fueling the fires!
Please someone, stop these irresponsible groups, before my husband, who is Chicago Police Officer gets hurt!

Outstanding video! Great to hear and watch, but here is the sad part: not only does no one in our fair town have the stones to stand up before the media and speak the truth, to call our mayor a fool and tell him to shut up, but worse, if it did happen, our local media wouldn't air it!!! God bless and protect those officers out there, as well as our own.

I'll bet that if a CPD officer got up on a podium and said things like that about our mayor the Weasel Weis would have him in Call Back pending . ASAP .

The words were great, SCC. They would have had more meaning if some of their black & brown co workers were standing there with them at this press conference.
Funny, I didn't see any in the crowd, which tends to send the message that maybe the Mayor isn't all wrong about HIS comments.
I'm just sayin.'

being a retired p.o.after 30 yrs.no cop or dept.wants that racial profile branded on thier dept.however, all you seen were white police officers.their are many irish, polish, italian etc.that cross the canadian borders illegally everyday but they look like white america so thats o.k.the immigration dept.will tell you that thier are at least 20 different nationalities that attempt to cross the southern border on a daily bases.hire more minority police personnel and fight fire with fire.the 911 terrorists all crossed the canadian borders.god bless us all.

I can remember years ago attending traffic court as a patrolman; it would always look like an NAACP meeting! Always wondered why so many blacks wound up on the receiving end of tickets, and in my courtroom, cops were assigned there from almost every district in the entire City.
Like they always say, there's a little bit of truth in every stereotype. The boyz in Arizona might have been a little more convincing if they could have shown just one Sheriff there who wasn't a white male, or even one female. Maybe a lot of your readers walked away impressed with the blanket denial captured on that vid SCS, but I wasn't one of them, and I'm a white male.

Im calling bullshit on that one. If you cared to watch the video you will notice that a Hispanic female is peering from behind the deputy with the ball cap on. By the way, when the camera does pan beyond the 4 guys in front I noticed Hispanic deputies in the background. Just in case you were really interested.

I suppose it is the same racial makeup as 26 and California. I suppose you never made it there boss. Now if you ever made it to Bridgeview, which judging by your retarded statement you haven't, you would see a different racial makeup.

I'm calling bullshit on your BS.
ONE woman? And you say you noticed "a few" Hispanics (standing behind the Deputies who spoke in front of the cameras)? Did any of those "background people" that you observed in the video speak to the media, or even attempt to?
And if not, why not? If they were
"visible" as you say, they were certainly silent. Almost as bad as our press conferences here, with Jimmy Jackson standing there saying nothing, and Bea Cuello not even able to appear at them now, with so many unanswered questions about her latest gaffe. Window dressing is all the same in every Law Enforcement Agency, I guess.

You must be a suburban copper, sonny. A Chicago copper wouldn't have any reason to appear in Bridgeview to testify on a traffic ticket, unless it were part of a larger, CRIMINAL investigation.
Thanks for pointing out my "retarded" statement. You're obviously a Captain or above in your agency.

Please keep in mind that this is an open blog
that can and is read by people other than Chicago Police Officers.
