Planter Box Pays Off

Car flees cops, rolls on Magnificent Mile Two men were arrested, including one who authorities said was carrying 20 small bags of cocaine, after they sped away from Chicago police at about 4:15 a.m. and crashed into center-strip planters on North Michigan Avenue, police said this morning.

Great outcome this morning, but my biggest fear is when one of our own hits one.

THAT MY FRIEND ALREADY HAPPENED--MANY YEARS AGO IN THE 8TH DISTRICT ON CICERO AVENUE---TWO OF OUR OWN CRASHED INTO THE PLANTER BOX DURING A PURSUIT OF A PERSON WITH A GUN--ONE OFFICER WAS LEFT PARALZYED NEVER TO RETURN TO THE JOB OR TO A REAL LIFE THE OTHER A RECRUIT IS ON THE JOB WORKING IN A UNIT --THERE WAS A ROLL CALL TRAINING VIDEO OUT REGARDING THIS INCIDENT--BOTTOM LINE BE CAREFUL FOLKS

That PPO walks with a limp - still to this day.

Unit or not, I'd rather walk the way I am able to now..

Please keep in mind that this is an open blog
that can and is read by people other than Chicago Police Officers.
