OFFICER SHOT

The shooting occurred about 10:30 a.m. in the 500 block of East Browning Avenue, in the Chicago Housing Authority's Ida B. Wells complex, police said.

The officer was at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition this afternoon, Starks said in a news conference outside the hospital.

"The officer is in stable condition and it looks like he's going to be OK," he said.

Police spokeswoman Monique Bond said the 55-year-old veteran officer has served the last five years in the police Public Housing Unit. He was wearing a bulletproof vest and his star at the time of the shooting.

Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery to the officers.

Sarge,

Once again the Chicago Media made this a 'bash the police' issue - these arrogant clowns exceed all low expectation.

Here is a great quate from tom Roeser at Chicago Daily Observer

http://www.cdobs.com/

"Arrogance in that for generations, the major newspapers and electronic outlets have felt that if they choose to ignore an issue, it does not exist; condescension because the media believe the people do not have much interest in protecting their right to have expenditure of their monies reported."

I mention the shooting of the Officer here:

Please keep in mind that this is an open blog
that can and is read by people other than Chicago Police Officers.
