Police Week 2008
May 13-16, 2008 Washington DC
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Embassy Suites Hotel in DC. The rate is $279/night. This year rooms are at a premium because of a medical convention in town. This rate includes a free happy hour every night and a free cooked-to order breakfast daily.
We are currently working on airfare in order to ensure the lowest possible group rate.
There will be a private Chicago Police party at Fado Irish Pub in Chinatown, date and time TBD.
194 Police Officers will be added to the wall this year.
The Chicago Police Department has always had one of the biggest groups attending. Please help us keep this tradition.

An Irish pub in Chinatown??
Ironic, huh? National Police Week in D.C. is a GREAT time! For thise who have never been there, it is HIGHLY recommended! Many call it Spring Break for the police(which it basically is!), but it means SO much more. It is definately party, party, party, but when you're not laughing, odds are you're crying. Coppers from all over the country and the world(a large group of Bobbies from England always travels across the pond) get together to honor our brothers and sisters who have made the ultimate sacrifice. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet people and have a ball! If you have ANY questions or would like to reserve a room, please contact the e mail address. Include a cell phone number and I will contact you ASAP. Most coppers who have gone to the National Memorial once, make it a yearly ritual. Hope to hear from may of you soon! Be carefurl out there!
So...which night is the Fado event?
RNR Bar & Lounge Salutes America's Finest. While at Police Week here in DC dont forget to stop by RNR Bar & Lounge at 717 6th Street NW (across from the Verizon Center and steps from the Police Memorial). We Open everyday at 5PM, have a great staff, a rooftop patio bar, and 2 for 1 drink and beer specials all during police week. We are Cop Friendly and owned by a retired DC Police Oficer. See you next week
